We are looking for solutions to real industry challenges
Sidenor 612 launches the first edition of Sidenor 612 Challenge, an open call for start-ups, companies, technology centres and universities where you can take part and validate your solution by running a pilot in our plant
Present your solution
Three steps, five minutes. Choose the challenge, tell us who you are and what your solution does. We will assess your proposal to study the feasibility of your participation
Step 1 of 3
Do you think your team can solve one of these challenges?
We have prioritised three specific challenges for this first edition. Choose the one that fits your solution and present it to us.
01. The expert who never retires
How can we design the architecture of a digital expert that captures this knowledge and makes it accessible to those who come after?
Present your solution (Challenge 01)02. Traceability in heat treatment furnaces
How can we design a digital traceability system that maintains bar-by-bar traceability after the bundles have been processed in the heat treatment furnaces?
Present your solution (Challenge 02)03. Bloom measurement
How can we implement automatic (continuous or semi-continuous) measurement of bloom weight?
Present your solution (Challenge 03)What is Sidenor612
Sidenor 612 is the innovation hub through which Sidenor connects its industrial activity with talent. A space where we develop data, artificial intelligence and new technology projects together with start-ups, technology centres, universities and other players in the Innovation Ecosystem.
Sidenor Ecosystem
By taking part in Sidenor 612 Challenge, you not only have the opportunity to validate your solution in a real environment, you also become part of the Sidenor Ecosystem for future collaborations.

Sidenor Ecosystem
If your proposal is a good fit, you join the Sidenor 612 hub ecosystem. When a new challenge arises that matches what you do, in the next edition or outside it, we will count on you without starting from scratch.

02The prize
On-site pilot
If your proposal wins, we will implement it as a pilot in a real production environment, with real data and with the in-house team that will use it.

Direct access to experts
No intermediaries, no filters. You work hand in hand with Sidenor professionals and their ecosystem, who know the industrial process first-hand and who will evaluate and use your solution.
Frequently asked questions
Who can apply?
Start-ups, technology companies, technology centres and universities from Spain and Europe with a developed solution, either a product or a working prototype, that fits one of the challenges in the call and that can be taken to an on-site pilot.
Can I apply for more than one challenge?
Yes, as long as your solution fits each one. Submit one proposal per challenge so that it reaches the corresponding jury. We recommend choosing the challenge where your solution adds the most value.
What happens after I submit the form?
We will assess your proposal to study the feasibility of your participation. After registration closes, each challenge owner presents their challenge in an explanatory session. The selected teams develop their proposal and defend it before the jury.
The winning proposal will be announced and implemented as a pilot in the plant. In addition, teams with a good fit join the Sidenor 612 pool, which will count on them for future related challenges.
Who evaluates my proposal?
Your solution will be assessed by the people who know the challenge first-hand and who will use the technology, together with the Innovation Hub Committee. Aspects such as fit with the challenge, feasibility in the plant, scalability and your team's capacity and availability to carry it out will be taken into account.
What commitment do I make if my solution is chosen?
To implement the pilot with Sidenor 612 within its ecosystem, working hand in hand with the in-house team that will use the solution. The scope, timelines and terms of collaboration (confidentiality, intellectual property, cost sharing) are agreed with the winning team at the start of the project.

Shall we work together?
Choose the challenge where your team fits best and tell us what your solution does.
